Kusu Island 15th Nov 08

we signed up for a Reefwalk @ Kusu Island recently..is the 1st time both of us participated in such tour and is a nightwalk...before assembling at Marina South Pier..we had a rather heavy earlie dinner at IL Piccolo @ Clementi Blk 325 as recommended by les pommes..

to satisfy my cravings for clams..i naturally ordered Vongole in tomato sauce..
boy..it was huge..and many clams..if only they provide me a bowl to contain the empty shells -_-
tasted pretty well as what dear mentioned..but i feel it taste a bit salty for my share..didnt ask for a change as we were rush in time..overall i tink is worthwhile for its price..the sheer number of clams reallie amazed me..tiramisu wasnt fantastic..i tink the desserts need much improvement..for the price..i can get better tiramisu elsewhere definitely..yupz~

makaning @ Il Piccolo

we rushed to Marina Bay after that but couldnt catch the 402 bus..lucky Reefwalk people came out to fetch us in..or else we might have missed the ferry..was our 1st time @ this Pier.it looks rather cool..very spacious indeed~and to my surprise, many people came for this Reefwalk as well~

the ride to Kusu Island takes about 15mins..i cant recall whether I have came here before..but I know it's known as the 龟岛..weather aint gd when we reached..looks very very cloudy!

this little girl is very very kawaii..she's one of the participants for this Reefwalk..and she is very happy with her pink boots~

below are some snapshots of the stuff we saw during our Reefwalk..when we commence the tour..it was oreadi raining..quite sianz..we walked ard with our ponchos..my feet wasnt well protected with my damn-old shoes so water jus seeped in like titanic sinking la..tried not to bother so much by keeping myself busy..snapping away haha!
barnacles

hard corals

soft corals

an inverted jellyfish

pink sponge

im not sure what this is..but they called this "dead man's fingers"

flower crab in-the-box

a 3 striped goby(if i didnt spell wrongly)known to be poisonous

Starfish + sea anemones

sea-cucumber(i was once nicknamed as sea-cucumber by someone in secondary school as i recalled..but i cant recall who that person was and duno why such a nick given to me haha!)

more corals!!

in the dark

it was an interesting trip indeed!..but i guess it would be better if we were walking in non-raining conditions and probably in the afternoon or morning will be better ba..maybe can see more things..since it was a night walk and raining..quite mafan..but rather adventurous feeling as we walked around with our torchlight..trying to get ourselves surprised by anithing that moves in the muddy water haha!

I'll probably will go Chek Jawa in my next walk..hear say there got more interesting stuff!
